Bill Tucker

CEO

Prior to joining Nexii, Bill spent two decades leading one of the largest integrated development services, design, and construction firms in Western Canada. In 2019, Bill recognized the power of Nexiite to disrupt the construction industry and change how the world builds. He invested in Nexii as part of Omicron’s long-term strategic business plans, then engaged as a partner, collaborating on several projects. In the summer of 2021, Omicron was acquired by Nexii and today Bill maintains his role of chief executive officer at Omicron, while also leading the Operations, A&E and Assembly for Nexii.

Gregor Robertson

Gregor Robertson

Executive Vice President of Strategy and Partnerships

After leading the city of Vancouver as its longest serving Mayor, Gregor now focuses his work on positive solutions to the climate crisis, both with the Nexii leadership team and as Global Ambassador for the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy. His vision for a greener, more inclusive Vancouver has led to record-setting years for new housing, job growth and the lowest carbon emissions per person for any major city in North America. The city now consistently ranks among the top five green and livable cities in the world.

Before serving as mayor, Gregor served in the BC Parliament, he co-founded and led Happy Planet Foods, and was an organic farmer.

Ben Dombowsky

Ben Dombowsky

Co-founder, co-inventor & senior vice president of product development

Ben has been a creative problem solver, innovator and inventor his whole life, with experience founding several ventures and bringing multiple products to market. He is the co-founder of Energy Sustainable Structures Inc., a building research and development company based in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, which formed the basis and inspiration for the Nexii assembly system and Nexiite material.

As the vice president of business development, he helped lead the company in developing numerous products and processes in the area of materials sciences and manufacturing that are revolutionizing the way buildings are constructed.

Michael Dombowsky

Co-founder, co-inventor & senior vice president of building technology

Michael is a prolific inventor and developer of building products and systems with a passion for sustainable structures and sustainable living. Most notably, Michael is the inventor behind the Nexii whole building solution. For over 40 years, he has designed and built projects from custom residential to multi-family, commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings. During that time, he also manufactured the structural steel and precast concrete for this wide range of buildings.

In addition to his numerous inventions, Michael’s creativity flourished with the notable accomplishment of the design and construction of Tunnels of Moose Jaw — a national award-winning tourist attraction that has boasted over 2 million tourists from around the world over the last 20 years.

David Bryant

Senior Executive Advisor

David Bryant joins the Nexii team as Senior Executive Advisor collaborating with the executive team and board of directors in determining, prioritizing, and implementing critical business strategies. David is a licensed attorney, with over twenty-five years of experience providing counsel and support to businesses, industry associations (insurance, medical, conservation), and personal clients, including extensive history as an advisor and board member to CEO Stephen Sidwell’s previous business ventures.

Morgan Allan

Vice President of Market Development

As a global business development expert, Morgan prides himself on his commitment to ethical and transparent business practices. Whether he’s negotiating contracts with multinationals or leading a project in one continent or another (the Americas or Africa), he is dedicated to thoughtful and proactive market development, innovative growth strategies, and integrating customer/partner needs.

Morgan brings years of experience in pre-fabricated construction and portable shelters for humanitarian/emergency and trade use in locations as diverse as the Canadian Arctic, Peru, Brazil, and West Africa to his role. His impressive communication skills and culturally-aware problem solving abilities make him a visionary leader at Nexii where he leads the charge in national and international relationships.

Angus Beattie

P.Eng., FEC - Vice President, Industrial Business Unit

Angus is Vice President of Nexii’s Industrial projects sector. His area of expertise involves team leadership, understanding the Client’s business before creating a solution, and management of projects and building programs. He brings an innovative approach and is comfortable in both design and construction processes. Angus’ commitment to solutions, project management, innovation and customer service ensures that each project delivers superior levels of value to each client.

Zosia Brown

Zosia Brown

PHD, LEED AP BD+C, WELL AP - Vice President, Sustainability

Zosia’s passion for shaping a future in which both people and natural systems thrive drives her position as Vice President of Sustainability with Nexii. Her notable past roles include Head of Sustainability at Woodland Park Zoo, WA, and Associate with Buro Happold.

Zosia’s PhD in Resource Management Environmental Studies focused on green building performance and post-occupancy evaluation. She brings over 15 years’ experience in driving sustainable change and environmental policy in organizations across North America and Europe to Nexii. Zosia’s deep and consistent focus on product performance, carbon impact of operations, zero waste and climate resilience are at the heart of Nexii’s operations. Together with teams from across the company, Zosia leads Nexii’s environment, social and governance (ESG) strategy underpinning our mission to build a vibrant future for people and planet.

Darren Hocking

Vice President, Commercial Retail Business Development

With over 30 years of experience in commercial retail, Darren’s extensive background includes development management roles at Starbucks, New York Fries, Pizza Pizza Ltd., and Second Cup. At Nexii, Darren is the go-to for commercial retail development, bringing his experience and knowledge to expand Nexii’s market in this sector. His drive and practical leadership is paired with genuine pleasure in creating and nurturing success in others. Nexii is proud to have Darren lead our Commercial Retail Unit projects after seeing firsthand the transformative power of our product in a commercial pilot project.

Laurenz Kosichek

Vice President of Architecture

Laurenz brings 30 years’ experience working as an architect, and was a Principal at Stantec Architecture Ltd where he practiced for over two decades. Notably, he was the Architect of Record for the Whistler Sliding Centre for the 2010 Olympics, lead architect for the complete refurbishment of BC Place Stadium, and from 2013 to 2017 was the Architect of Record for The Amazing Brentwood. Laurenz currently advises Shape Properties’ Development Team, and is Vice President of Architecture at Nexii. His goal is to assist in the development and evolution of Nexii’s innovative product, helping to bring the Nexii solution to market.

Chad Prokop

Chad Prokop

Vice President, Business Optimization

Chad’s proven track record of entrepreneurial and “intrapreneurial” success in forward-thinking sustainable solutions is backed by thorough proficiency in finance, leadership, strategy, and innovation. In addition to decades of experience at one of the largest accounting firms, he cofounded a successful biomass start-up and transitioned Ledcor into having one of the largest LNG/CNG fleets in Canada.

Chad brings world-class knowledge and experience in sustainable growth, efficiency, responsible leadership, and next-generation innovation to the Nexii finance team.

Stephen Tan

Director, Financial Planning and Analysis

Stephen has over 10+ years of experience in finance and operations driving business strategy development, financial planning & analysis and implementing system process improvements. Most recently, he was Head of Finance for Vistara Growth, a technology-focused investment firm, overseeing financial operations and reporting of its funds. Prior to that, Stephen worked for Grant Thornton LLP leading the financial budgeting/forecasting process and strategic planning for offices across the Western Canada region. He was also part of the investment team at UBC IMANT, which is responsible for managing the investment pool for the University of British Columbia, including a multi-billion-dollar Endowment and Pension fund. Stephen graduated from the University of British Columbia and is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Professional Accountant.
