Metro Office Reconstruction
From showroom to office in FOUR days including disassembly and reconstruction.

From Showroom to Office in Just Four Days
Originally built in 2019, this showroom was deconstructed, relocated, and fully reassembled as an office space in just four days. Nexii efficiently dismantled the building, with the walls taken down in just two hours, and then transported it to a new site. After just two more days of reassembly, the office was ready to use.
The building was located next to a 21,000-square-foot Metro Manufacturing facility, also constructed using Nexii panels. This project highlighted the flexibility and speed of Nexii's panelized system. The Metro Office building received an additional 466 square feet, achieved by adding four new wall panels and two new roof panels. To further improve the building's energy efficiency, triple-glazed windows were installed in the panel cavities for enhanced thermal performance.
This project demonstrated Nexii's ability to adapt existing buildings for new uses, adding 75% more space while maintaining sustainability. The office also saw the installation of a hydronic heating system, a new door opening, and a shift to a slab-on-grade foundation, replacing the original stem panel foundation.
In comparison to traditional demolition and reconstruction, this project resulted in significant waste savings. On-site waste was minimal, limited to just two 5-gallon buckets of caulk seals. In contrast, conventional construction would typically have required a 6-yard garbage bin for waste removal. By designing Nexii buildings for deconstruction and reuse, material waste, carbon emissions, and costs were significantly reduced, while extending the lifespan of Nexii products.
Near-Zero Waste
Panels manufactured offsite and assembled onsite, reducing onsite waste for Nexii's scope of work to near zero.
Adaptive Reuse
New wall and roof panels integrate with original components, extending existing building footprint by 75%.
Quick Aassembly
Precision manufactured to building design specifications then shipped to site. Two-day deconstruction of building, two-date reconstruction for second life.
Design for Deconstruction
Mechanical connection details between Nexii panels and ease of access facilitate deconstruction.
