Nexii’s Impact Capital Platform is a private placement investment information and matching platform on which qualifying high impact businesses, organisations or impact investment funds can register and through which they provide comprehensive information on their unlisted securities.
High impact investment opportunities registered on the Impact Capital Platform benefit from greater levels of transparency, accountability and governance through the same compliance and reporting obligations as those on the iX and through the issue of international security identification (ISIN) numbers which facilitates global investment and liquidity. The use of regulated clearing and settlement systems for investments made provides additional investor protection.
The first Impact Capital Platform has been established with electronic settlement and clearing provided by Strate using the money market system in South Africa. Now working with partners in other regions, Nexii is extending the regulatory integration of Central Security Depositories with the Impact Capital Platform. This will meet the regulatory requirements of other regions and enable high impact investment opportunities and investors to benefit from appropriate localization of knowledge, representation and execution whilst also ensuring comparability between regions so as to improve impact capital flows across the globe.
