NeXii Platform

The NeXii Platform is a private, password protected electronic transactions and communications platform for the listing, trading, settlement and clearing of private capital and environmental credit transactions. The platform provides an efficient, effective, transparent and highly secure infrastructure for members to access investment transactions and relevant content and data. Unlike an auction market, or an online listing service for private investment opportunities, NeXii ensures that any investment opportunity is listed following a systematic entry process.

Transactions

Through a standards-based approach to listings and information, NeXii provides direct access and negotiation tools to arrive at the right asset at the right price. The system is built to financial industry standard FIX protocols so that it can seamlessly connect to other financial systems and platforms.

It is highly adaptable and incorporates a translation matrix and a currency converter to enable investors trading in other countries to estimate exchange rates prior to investing. The online platform is accessed using desktop software, making it easy for all users to update or review data and information in real time.

The capital transactions that can be performed on the Platform include:
    • Debt
    • Project Financing (Social and Environmental)

    • Equity – private and public
    • Secondary transactions for the above

    • Raising of Investment Funds
    • Donations (not traded but transacted with reporting accountability)

Services

The Platform’s key basic services include:
  • Initial Private Listing – debt, equity, Social Investment Funds and donations for project finance.
  • Communications – includes notification services for investors, relevant content, data and analytics as well as access to a wide variety of research and advisory services.
  • Settlement – achieving a negotiated or agreed upon price.
  • Issuer reporting tools – allowing issuer organizations to easily provide financial, social and environmental reports to their investors and to potential investors through standardized forms and templates.
  • Social Networking – basic social networking features that allow for increased communication and information within groups of investors and issuers who share interests, investments or geography.

  • Secondary Trading – also termed “Secondaries”, these are issues that have either been once sold or have been recorded by a registry (as in the case for environmental credits).
  • Investment decision making tools – searching, comparing and selecting deals for investment.
  • Clearing – completion of the transaction including the transfer of money and all paperwork, which is mostly electronic.
  • Investment reports – investors can see, print and organize reports providing a snapshot of their investments. They will be able to see all the details provided by each issuing organization as well as their portfolio management summaries.
  • Virtual Portfolio/Foundation – providing investors with their own management tool to track investments, grants, impact and other aspects of their activities. For grant-makers this is an online donor-advised portfolio management tool.
